Reviews
I was able to get my order done here and was able to pick it up in a different city for my wedding so that worked out excellent. They got the order right and there wasn’t a problem with communication between locations.
I was then able to use this location again to prepare for a ball. This store had my size already saved. This allowed me to pick out the tux I wanted and everything fit just fine.
I have always had friendly and fast service here. The people try to help you as much as possible. I would recommend this location.
Terrible customer service worker treated me like an annoyance that wasnt gonna buy anything. I came in hoping to get a full beautiful suit. Clothes seemed good. Workers probably talk hundreds out of buying thing they need and want.
Men's Wearhouse made our daughter's wedding a wonderful day by providing expert advice for the Men in our party , the fitting professionals did a great job ,any issues, and there were very few were handled immediately and accurately ,Thanks to Men's Wearhouse...
Men's Warehouse has excellent quality clothes, I simply wish they had more, brighter and sometimes shiney colors. Otherwise I enjoy shopping there very much.
No problems with the suit or the fitting, but I had an issue with returning the suit. I was charged $20 for a one-day late fee, which is understandable, but I was never given a verbal or written notice when I did my fitting or picked up the suit. Only time I was given a notice was the day after the event via email that was filtered. Two other guys in our wedding party returned their suits the same night, but at a different location, and were never charged a late fee. It must be this location that is very picky about this.
Spent about 15 min walking around trying to purchase some dress clothes & just wanted a little help being pointed in the right direction on what I was looking for. A handful of employees didn't even acknowledge me even after eye contact was made multiple times. A simple acknowledgement of my existence to let me know they'd be willing to help once they freed up & I would have had no problem waiting. Even had another customer who was experiencing the same thing jokingly ask me if I could see him.
Went there to get some garments which I purchased from there re stitched as they became defective and stitching came unwound. I was there and purchased earlier in the day and they said they could fix it and to just bring it in. Brought in the 3 garments and the gentleman claimed they were dirty because one pant leg had a few strands of cat hair and claimed the process they do would need to press the garments and the cat hair could also ruin the sewing machine.. never heard of such a dumb excuse before.. they just need re stitched and that’s the end of it. No other service needed..! I took the 3 items and drove to the 144th street location and without question the gentlemen looked them over and said “no problem we will just replace them!” Gave me 3 new pairs of pants and told me to have a great day. THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE! Dodge street location needs to take notes and not treat people like they are bothered to deal with the problem. Hats off to 144th! Hope this 1 star review finds you well :)
Do better
Great experience getting what I was looking for in my suit. Thank you, Isaiahs for all of your help and patience.
I wanted to get a jump start on my fitting/tailoring I may need.
A little description as to what I personally look like:
I stand 5”8
I weigh in at 360 pounds
I am a avid gym goer & power lifter.
I have large strong legs/thighs & a big rear end to help carry it.
I have broad shoulders and an ever broader chest
When I buy clothes I have to have them tailored because of my measurements. In denim I can wear a 40 around my waist. But because of my large legs/thighs and butt it had to then go to a 44 with a cinched belt.
I am a large fella. I understand this.
As to my attire -
I was wearing black athletic shorts
A white hat
And a tan shirt that had a brand label on the chest and back that said
“Kinda fit - kinda fat”
In an all inclusion rainbow print
I was only going to get a vest & still walked out empty handed. I found a vest that worked. But when I was approached & asked if I needed any further assistance I immediately knew I was not going to get any TRUE help. I knew this because the gentleman had ROLLED HIS EYES AT ME when I asked to get measured. I only asked to be measured because I had already tried in what I thought was my pant size and come to find out that was not the case. I have never been to the men’s warehouse to know if certain sizes meant something different here. Because a 44x30 in store did not even go to my thighs. So instead of flooding the fitting room with multiple pairs of pants and getting frustrated I asked for help. He reluctantly agreed to measure me and when he began - he started measure me right there. In front of everyone. Did not give me a chance to put my bag down or anything.
Not only did I find this unprofessional seeing as other people I witness getting measure went to a different part of the store but I found it incredibly insulting that he started measuring my STOMACH and not my hips/waist area. I tried to tell him that I won’t wear the pants around my stomach. That I’d wear them how I do my denim pants and shorts. He quickly met me with
“This. Is. How. Our. Pants. Are. Supposed. To. Be. Worn.”
As if talking to me like I was ignorant. Extremely off putting & unprofessional yet again. But it doesn’t stop there.
He then tells me
“You’re a 57 there’s nothing that will fit you here.”
I found this deeply disturbing because of a few things.
1) knowing I did my research before hand and had noticed that the Men’s Wearhouse Carrie’s up to size 60 x 34 in the brand I was specifically looking for.
2) I had seen a larger 60 in the store (assuming a customer return based in the tags and hand written SKU Numbers) and hadn’t thought that I was my size. Like I said - I normally wear a 44. So I didn’t think a 60 would be my size.
3) there was no offer of “ordering it online and having it shipped to me” and there certainly was not a “let’s get you that 60 and start doing some measurements so we can get the fit you want/desire/require.”
He just stood there staring at me. And when I asked if it would change the size to something I could wear if I wore them how I wear my normal pants - he yet again met me with immediate negativity.
“No. Not how our pants are supposed to sit.”
So what happened? Was I met with someone who hates their job? Absolutely. Was I fat shamed in public in the middle of your store? 100%. Did I receive any additional help or offer for tailoring? Not at all.
Do I 100% feel as if I was “helped” by someone who has a personal vendetta and/or dislike/hate for the LGBTQIA+ community? Yes. Full heartedly.
I feel as if the gentleman saw my shirt and wanted nothing more than to get me out of the store as fast as possible. I fully intend on posting a review on the entire experience and what happened on Google and other platforms.
Had I known that the Mens Wearhouse was going to not only homophobic, fat phobic, but down right rude and unhelpful - I would not have given it any time of day.
Sadly I do not know the gentlemen’s name. He didn’t disclose it to me when I asked what it was. I saw no name tag and saw no identification on him.
